- The point works on a west swell. On small days the beach is for walking and the pier is for looking down.
- This is one of the easier places to bring someone who is not sure they want the sea yet. No hike, no fee, no speech.
- The islands sit out there on a clear evening like a second coast. That view is the whole argument for leaving town.
How to arrive · Figueroa to the promenade. Parking along Spinnaker and the fairgrounds. Stay for the lights on the water.
